WEATHERPAK® TRx Highlights
The WEATHERPAK® is a truly professional tool that has been the number one choice of HazMat Responders for 20 years. WEATHERPAK® is not a consumer-grade weather station that has recently been dubbed a "HazMat" system.
The WEATHERPAK® TRx Receiver/Display unit features a 4 x 20 character LCD (Liquid Crystal Display) with EL backlighting. You can view the data on the receiver box, or you can view and manipulate the data on a computer using ALOHA® or other plume modeling software.
WEATHERPAK® requires no tools and deploys in less than 1 minute, by one person.
WEATHERPAK® employs an internal self-aligning compass, which automatically finds True North, eliminating dangerous orientation errors.
WEATHERPAK® is constructed of non-sparking 6061-T6 aluminum, with no plastic or PVC structural components. It's impervious to most airborne chemicals and moisture. There are no exposed wires or switches.
The WEATHERPAK® is extraordinarily durable... Electronics mil-spec (MIL-STD-810E) for severe conditions... Documented "mean-time-to-failure" rate of 33 months continuous use... Will survive a 6 foot drop to concrete.
The WEATHERPAK® employs an internal UHF radio (5-7 miles line-of-site) operating under existing national radio license. An optional spread-spectrum, frequency-hopping radio is available.
The TRx is available tripod mounted or vehicle mounted. Vehicle mounted features hardwire data transmission and runs off vehicle power (110V/12V).
