Automated Weather Observing Systems (AWOS)
Coastal's AWOS measure and report weather data at permanent, mobile, and portable airfields.
Our aviation weather stations are completely scalable and built to minimize any and all risks - now, and in the future.
Coastal's Automated Weather Observing Systems have the flexibility to handle any current or conceivable weather sensor. Data reporting
is available in METAR, SPECI, SYNOP, and Local formats. |

Fixed Base Systems (FBS)
Our Fixed Base Systems collect and report weather data at permanent, civil or military
installations using meteorological sensors for aviation. They support Category I, II, and III
airfields. Our ZENO® data acquisition system permits numerous options
in communication and telemetry. And our Universal Serial Interface and
ZENOSOFT® software simplify expansion with COTS sensors. |

|
Portable Aviation Weather Stations
Our basic COTS portable aviation weather stations are based on our durable, reliable
WEATHERPAK® 2000. This 35-pound stationused also by the U.S. Navycan
be deployed in minutesanywhere. Its built-in data acquisition system
(ZENO® 3200) allows you to alter a COTS system or design a new one for your
specific requirements. |

Low Power plus Remote and Adverse Conditions
We have extensive experience manufacturing weather stations destined for installation
in remote areas that have harsh weather and no AC power. Our ZENO® 3200 data
acquisition system runs a comprehensive group of aviation meteorological sensors, using only battery and
solar power, by using power management: polling power-hungry sensors by
briefly turning them on and then off again. |

|
Stand Alone Weather Stations (SAWS)
This aviation weather station is used by the U.S. Air Force and NASA, and it's currently being
deployed by the FAA at all Class C airports. This is a remarkable powerhouse that
provides critical airport data, and still allows plenty of room (due to its
ZENO® 3200) for future expansion of sensors. It's all combined in one
three-part system designed to minimize maintenance. |

|
Permanent Aviation Weather Stations
You can choose from our COTS stations, our AWOS
systems, or you can specify your own design and meteorological sensors. Since these are permanent aviation weather
stations, we design them for ease of installationand future expansion. Just
a few of your options include: towers, displays, aviation meteorological sensors, method of telemetry, and
your preference among available algorithms. |

Runway Visual Range (RVR)
Our INTERCEPT Runway Visual Range Systems (RVRS) use aviation meteorological sensors to measure visibility, background luminance, and the intensity
(brightness) of runway lights. Both flexible and scalable, our systems
are designed to meet your airports needs. INTERCEPT RVRS conforms to all ICAO
and WMO accuracies, and uses the latest published algorithms for all
calculations. |

Altimeter - Precision Digital Barometer (PDB-1)
The National Weather Service (NWS) asked Coastal to manufacture the
Precision Digital Barometer to their exacting standards. The result is our
precise barometer that continuously displays real-time atmospheric
pressure and altimeter settings, and is automatically
temperature compensated, using a precision-grade thermistor. This meteorological sensor is an excellent tool to ensure safe aviation. |
